Poolside in Tangerine

LuxCraft
LuxCraft began in the corner of a barn in Ohio’s Amish Country and now runs a modern facility on County Road 144 in Sugarcreek. What has not changed is the method — craftsmen mill poly lumber using many of the same techniques a traditional wood shop uses on hardwood.
The material is high-density polyethylene recovered from post-consumer waste: milk jugs, detergent bottles, the things most households put in a recycling bin without thinking about it. It is cleaned in a decontamination process to better than ninety-nine percent purity, then compounded into solid board stock. By weight, a finished piece is around ninety percent recycled material.
Every fastener is stainless steel. That is the part people notice five years in. Poly does not rot, splinter or need painting, but ordinary screws corrode, and a chair with rusted fixings is a chair with a wobble. LuxCraft does not build those.
