And it is carried through by the people who welcome you into our showroom. Together, our team brings more than one hundred years of experience in home furnishings, and every one of them would rather help you find the right piece than sell you the nearest one.

OwnersMatt and Beth oversee every part of Charleston Amish Furniture, guided by one goal: to furnish homes across the Lowcountry. Above all, they want every customer to leave feeling valued and well cared for.
Brandon Dowler
CFOBrandon brings decades of furniture experience to the day-to-day running of our showroom. His focus is attentive customer service and a showroom that runs smoothly from the moment you walk in.

Our furniture specialists guide you through the design process, from choosing the wood, stain and fabric to shaping each piece around the way you live. Bring a photograph, a room measurement or simply an idea, and they will help you design furniture made for your home.

Furniture SpecialistWith more than thirty years in the furniture industry, Craig guides customers through every stage of a custom order, from coordinating upholstery fabrics to designing a piece from the ground up. He has a gift for turning an idea into something ready to build.

Furniture SpecialistDrawing on her French roots and her life in the Lowcountry, Nathalie creates rooms that feel warm, refined and inviting. Away from design, she spends her time with her son, her pets and her garden, the same simple comforts she brings to every space she designs.

Furniture SpecialistKyle brings more than fifteen years of industry experience and a talent for comfortable, thoughtfully designed rooms tailored to the people who live in them. Originally from Florence, South Carolina, he has called Charleston home for more than seven years.

Our story
Matt & Beth Troyer
Matt and Beth both come from Amish heritage. They married in 2002 and live in Charleston with their three sons, Vincent, Dawson and Carson, who are also involved in the business. Matt was born in Ohio, the second of four children, and Beth in Pennsylvania, the youngest of seven.
They founded Foothills Amish Furniture in Landrum in 2005 and opened the Charleston showroom in 2017. The early years were difficult and the doubts were real, but giving up was never an option. With Matt’s eye on the vision and Beth’s on the details, they built the business on the Amish values they were raised with: persistence, hard work, loyalty and honesty.
Away from the showroom, they love the beach, fishing in Alaska, camping, discovering new restaurants, setting fitness goals and competing in obstacle-course races. Through the many people they meet, they hope to help those struggling with addiction find a light at the end of the tunnel, because everyone’s story matters.
